Smoke Detectors

Living in the dorms has been fun. I have met a lot of people and I have learned a lot of things. Two days ago about 5 smoke detectors went off on my floor at 2 in the morning. Everyone woke up and took the batteries out of the them. We could not figure out why these kept going off. Finally we all received an email that said the smoke alarms keep going off because of the humidity in the building. Since I live in Laffollete I have no air conditioning so this is why all of these smoke detectors keeps going off.

    I can relate to this post a lot. All of the floors seem to be having this problem. My fire alarm has not personally gone off, but our neighbor's has and so have many others. Not too much fun being woken up by an annoying beep, but at least you woke up, right?

    That's funny, our smoke detector went off too. Only in the middle of the afternoon. It just started beeping so we took out the battery. As ours was going off, we could hear another going off from our window.

    Funny story about this. So I walk onto my floor and start heading over to my buddys room. I hear a detector going off and say they better get that figured out or Im gonna be mad. I walk into his room and he is standing there in his underwear trying to get the thing off the ceiling to take the battery out. In his defense it was eleven at night. I just thought that would add to the epic saga of the LaFollette smoke detectors.
